Mentoring Agtech Startups

Joel is a Co-director of the Ag Startup Engine, which is an early seed investment fund for agriculture technology startups. His duties include mentoring companies in the portfolio like Gross-Wen Technologies (pictured right) and their vertical algae production technology used for treating waste water. There are currently nine other companies in the portfolio including Smart Ag, Performance Livestock Analytics, Nebullam (pictured left), FarmlandFinder, automed, Tractor Zoom, LEAH Laboratories, and ClearFlame Engines.
